Due to the September 30th National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, and the October 10th Thanksgiving Holiday, our October General Membership Meeting will be moved to October 15th at 10:00 AM. As per the September GMM it will be held via Zoom.   

Our resolutions and delegate list for Regional Convention has to be submitted by Oct 7th. Because of this, a majority of the Local Executive has agreed to call a “special resolutions and delegate meeting” (bylaw 8.7) to be held on Sept 25th 4:30pm. The meeting will take place at the Central Lions Recreation Centre (11113 113 Street, Edmonton) 

All members in good standing are welcome to attend this special meeting. Members are welcome to present any changes they wish to see to our CUPW Constitution in the form of resolutions. These resolutions will be debated and voted on by the membership present. All resolutions that pass the Local will be taken to regional conference and debated again by delegates from each local in the prairie region.  

Resolutions can be pre-submitted to the Secretary-Treasurer at treasurer@cupwedm.net. Please have them submitted by Friday Sept. 23rd. 

We will also be accepting nominations and electing members to be our Local’s delegates at regional conference as per 13.1 of our Local bylaws.
