Member to Member Connection Newsletter

The Summer edition of the Special Needs Project newsletter, Member to Member Connection, is now available and you can read it HERE. (Options for English and French.)

The Special Needs Project and Moving On provide services to postal workers with children who have disabilities, with services available to members of CUPW and the Union of Postal Communications Employees. For more information on these projects, click HERE.

Indigenous Lobby Day

In 2019, the Canadian Labour Congress (CLC) held its first-ever Indigenous Lobby Day, which brought together members from 29 union affiliates to meet with Members of Parliament and Senators on Parliament Hill. This event included calls for action regarding Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls and Two-Spirit People, access to clean drinking water on reserves, honouring residential school children and Indigenous education, as well as a National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

The CLC is planning its second Indigenous Lobby Day for October 3rd, 2023. This initiative is an important part of the labour movement's ongoing effort to advance reconciliation and Indigenous justice.

We will share more information as we receive it, but you can also always check the CLC website for further information as it becomes available.

Front Yards in Bloom

The deadline for Front Yards in Bloom is rapidly approaching and you have until July 4th to submit your nominations. For more information on Front Yards in Bloom, please see our website post.
