Upcoming Educational Opportunity: How to Write a Grievance

EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES

All members in good standing are invited to apply for any course they have not participated in before. Any member participating in these courses will be reimbursed for any scheduled CPC day(s) of work they miss. Courses scheduled to be at the CUPW 730 office** are subject to change, including cancellation, depending on shifting pandemic public health guidelines.

In order for this application to be considered, all requested info must be provided, and the questionnaire fully answered. Please be sure to include the full name of the course you are applying for as well well as what date preferences you have (if the course offers multiple dates). One application must be filled out for each different course you hope to attend.

Once filled, email the completed forms or pictures of forms to: educate730@gmail.com. Alternatively, physical copies can be printed, filled, and brought to, or mailed to, our local union hall (18121 107 Ave, T5S 1K4, Edmonton, AB) before the listed application deadlines. If your application is accepted, you will be contacted with further details.

How to Write a Grievance (1 day, 2 opportunities)

March 13th and April 10th, 9 am to 5 pm @ CUPW 730 Office**

This 1-day course was designed locally with the goal of educating members on the grievance procedure but also to show them what is needed to prepare a grievance that has the greatest chance of success. 

Deadline for Application: March 4th for the March 13th course and April 2nd for the April 10th course
